According to HILL ASEAN 2018 study, gender equality exists in Indonesia. But not in the kitchen. Only 3 out of 10 husbands help their wife in the kitchen – and .id wants to help this number grow.

Last week, Kecap ABC launched a new campaign called “Real Husbands Cook, thanks to 1st press”. The campaign urges Indonesian husbands to be an equal to their wives, starting in the kitchen. With ABC Soy as their trusted aid, even husbands with no cooking experience can make great tasting meals easily. Husbands can also visit the online platform www.akademisuamisejati.com to learn cooking tricks and 1st press simple recipes that can help them in their journey to being an equal partner in the kitchen.

In addition, the brand is also collaborating with Aliansi Laki-Laki Baru, an alliance from several different NGOs in Indonesia that encourages men’s involvement to promote gender equality. The collaboration will approach couples and husband communities in 3 cities; Bandung, Semarang and Malang and take them through a 1st press cooking tutorial, helping them to become real husbands who cook.

Rise Against Hunger is an annual meal-packing event organized by Kraft Heinz ABC, as part of our global commitment to pack a billion meals by 2021. This year’s event was held in Surabaya, supported by 250 volunteers consisting of employees, Petra University students, and communities in Surabaya and Pasuruan. A total of 131,000 meals were packed in just 3 hours!

The meals consist of rice, vegetables, and our patented micronutrient sachets fortified with 18 essential vitamins and minerals. This year, the meals will be distributed to Palu and other regions impacted by malnutrition.
