Behind every remittance sent home is a mother or father living far away.

They miss birthdays, school events and simple family dinners.
They endure tired days and homesickness in Hong Kong, hoping their loved ones can have better chances.
This is the real life of many Filipino OFWs.
Salute to every hard‑working OFW.

Galatians 6:9"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

God promises a reward for those who keep working and do not quit.

To my August batch of applicants, let’s pray for you:

Heavenly Father, We come before You today with hearts full of gratitude as we welcome our new domestic helper into our home here in Hong Kong. Lord, You know the long journey she has traveled, leaving behind her family, her familiar surroundings, and her home country. Wrap her in Your comforting presence and ease any feelings of homesickness, loneliness, or anxiety.Grant her strength and good health for each new day. Give her a clear mind and a steady heart as she learns new routines, navigates a busy city, and adapts to the ways of our household. Protect her coming and going, and grant her deep, restorative sleep each night so her body and spirit are renewed.Lord, we also pray for our family. Fill our hearts with patience, kindness, and understanding. Help us to communicate clearly, to guide her with grace, and to treat her with the dignity and respect she deserves as a valued member of our household and a child of God.Let harmony, peace, and mutual trust bloom between us. Guard our home from misunderstandings, impatience, or harsh words. Where there are language barriers or cultural differences, provide grace and a spirit of cooperation.May our home be a safe, welcoming, and supportive place for her to work and thrive, and may we be a blessing to one another. In Your holy name, we pray. Amen.

For Jun and Jul batches, here’s my prayer for you all.

"Heavenly Father, We lift up the new domestic helpers who have recently arrived in Hong Kong. Thank you for their courage, their sacrifices, and the skills they bring. Lord, ease their homesickness and soothe any anxious hearts as they adjust to a new culture, a new language, and a new home. Grant them strength for their daily tasks, clarity of mind, and peace in moments of weariness. We also pray for the employers and families welcoming them. Fill our homes with patience, understanding, and mutual respect. Help us to communicate with kindness, to value one another as human beings, and to build a safe, supportive, and harmonious environment.Protect and guide every helper and household in this transition. Amen."

We’ve reached the halfway mark of 2026 already—how quickly time moves. I’m grateful God gently teaches us to pause and number our days, to live each moment with purpose.

James 4:14 NIV
“Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.”

“So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.” — Psalm 90:12 ESV

Romans 5:8: "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

1 John 4:10: "This is real love–not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins"

Romans 5:10: "For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life"

April 5 and 6 are statutory holiday, NOT Apr 3. If your weekly day off is Sunday or Monday, then you get Apr 7 off totally 3 days holidays.

Weekly day off can be paid by employers if they need you to work. But statutory holiday cannot be bought; however, can be swapped to another day.

Statutory Holiday - Salary being deducted

Dear all, if you not yet worked for 3 months in Hong Kong, you are not entitled for paid statutory holidays. It means salary will be deducted for the statutory holidays you took. After working for 3 months, all statutory holidays are paid and there will not be any salary deduction. Feel free to pm me if you need more clarifications.
