HKUGA 香港大學畢業同學會 Hong Kong University Graduates Association (HKUGA) was established in the 1970s with the aim of furthering the bonds, friendships and ideals.

Hong Kong University Graduates Association (HKUGA) was established in the 1970s by a group of young HKU graduates, with the aim of furthering the bonds, friendships and ideals that the group had established as undergraduates - and to create an ongoing link with the university and enhance its reputation and development. The Association has since developed into one of the leading alumni associations

at the university, with a diverse and highly active membership comprising former students from various faculties, residential and non-residential halls, and ages. HKUGA's mission is to provide a platform for members
- to freely meet, exchange, and continue their life-long development;
- to support the University of Hong Kong and sustain its status as a leading academic establishment in the region; and
- to be actively involved in the community and in matters related to Hong Kong and China. In support of the mission, many members now sit on the Standing Committee of HKU Convocation and Court. HKUGA actively organizes learning and development programs
- to enhance the personal and professional development of members;
- to support programmes of the University of Hong Kong; and
- to enhance their understanding and discussion of social and economic development in Hong Kong and the region. The Association has also established
- the HKUGA Education Foundation (HKUGAEF);
- the Graduates & Professional Toastmasters Club (GAP); and
- the 229th Scout Troop of Hong Kong. Furthermore, it is the only HKU alumni association to manage a primary and a secondary school - the HKUGA Primary School and the HKUGA College. GAP, meanwhile, is one of the leading Toastmasters Clubs in Hong Kong while the 229th Scout Troop of Hong Kong is the most sought after Scout Chapters in Hong Kong.

由香港大學畢業同學會（HKUGA）主辦的「香港大學暑期學習體驗日」已於 7 月 18 日順利舉行！

✨ 活動內容包括：

🏛️ 聖約翰學院舍堂文化體驗
🗣️ 模擬大學小組面試及討論練習
🤖 人工智能專題講座
👨‍🎓 港大校友升學及職涯分享

小組討論環節中，同學們積極就 「人工智能令大學教育更重要還是更不重要？」 展開深入探討，每組均由一位校友擔任小組導師。感謝各位校友導師悉心提供回饋及改善建議，讓同學進一步提升分析及溝通能力！

特別感謝許子晴教授及吳卓光博士帶來人工智能專題講座，從醫療科技、教育創新及前沿科技等角度，分享 AI 如何重塑未來學習模式，並啟發同學善用科技規劃未來。

亦感謝多位港大校友分享寶貴經驗：厲曉芝小姐分享投資銀行工作經驗及爭取實習機會的心得、潘卓琳律師分享法律專業的發展路向、黃振江先生分享創科及創業經驗。黃樂希小姐分享測量學的學習體驗；黃樂小姐則分享修讀醫科的心路歷程，讓同學從不同學科及專業角度了解大學生活、選科方向及未來職涯發展。

The HKU Summer Learning Experience Day, organised by the Hong Kong University Graduates Association (HKUGA), was successfully held on 18 July.

👨‍🎓 HKU Alumni Sharing on Academic Pathways and Careers

During the group discussion, students actively explored “Does AI make university education more important or less important?” Each group was guided by an HKU alumni mentor, who provided feedback and suggestions. Our thanks to all the mentors for helping students strengthen their analytical and presentation skills.

Special thanks to Prof. Vivian Hui and Dr Data Ng for sharing how AI is reshaping the future of learning through healthcare technology, educational innovation and emerging technologies, and inspiring students to embrace AI in planning for their future.

We also thank our HKU alumni speakers: Miss Emily Lai for sharing her experience in investment banking and securing internships, Miss Charleen P**n on career development in law, Mr Kenneth Wong on innovation and entrepreneurship, Miss Anna Wong on her learning experience in surveying, and Miss Letty Wong on her insights from studying medicine. Their sharing offered students a valuable understanding of university life, subject selection and future careers.

港島童軍229旅成立於1987年，為香港首個親子旅團。經歷三十九年，全旅五個支部：小童軍團 (Grasshopper)、幼童軍團 (Cubs)、童軍團 (Scout)、深資童軍團 (Venture)、樂行童軍團 (Rover)。現役逾百名童軍成員，以及四十位家長領袖，帶領各支部童軍參與技能知識與活動。

229旅依據童軍總會的進度性奬章🏅，為成員安排各項活動：既有以團支部為主體🧑‍🤝‍🧑🧑‍🤝‍🧑，亦有全旅如夏令營🏕️、原野烹飪🔥、運動會🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️等。作為親子旅團，我們鼓勵家長參與其中，以添親子間的共同經歷與分享。

HKUGA x 2026 HKU New Graduates | Career Talk + Graduating Drinks | Saturday July 4, 2026, 2:30pm

HKUGA and HKU CEDARS (Centre for Development and Resources for Students) are pleased to jointly organise the captioned event for the 2026 cohort of HKU new graduates and also for HKUGA Members.

There are 5,000+ new HKU graduates in 2026 (first and graduate degrees). CEDARS will notify all of them about this event. This event therefore will provide an excellent new opportunity for HKUGA to connect with our new graduates. Through this event we also aim to provide good career advancement insights for our new graduates as they are about to embark on their journey as working adults.

We have lined up two panels of great speakers for the Career Talk:

Panel 1 - Macro Insights on China/Global and AI Mega Trends for Self-Positioning

- Three China and AI expert speakers, including Prof the Hon Nick Chan, BBS, MH, JP, HKSAR Legislative Council Member, and Hong Kong Deputy to the National People’s Congress

Panel 2 - Personal Tips for Career Advancement in Different Settings

- Three accomplished HKU graduates as speakers

Please see the full details of the Career Talk on attached paages of the event poster. While the career talk is mainly for the new graduates, you are welcome to join, and we do believe that you will also find the sharing of macro and personal level insights by our speakers valuable.

With respect to the Graduating Drinks, you are most encouraged to come along and give our new graduates an opportunity to meet with and learn from you.
