General Manager / Vice President (Merchandising)
Our client is a leading global knitwear sourcing company based in HK with offices and production centres around the world. They are now expanding their local team for Japanese Market. English skill is a must.
*Responsibilities:
-Grow the company’s Product Group of Japanese market (PGJ) by creating and implementing go-to-market strategies
-Manage risk and factory allocation by selecting, building and maintaining strategic relationships with factories
-Define PGJ’s structure and capability needs to maximize efficiency
-Lead, develop and deploy merchandising team members to deliver results
-Keep abreast of competitive practices and market trends
-Direct and control the activities of operation to accomplish budgeted financial objectives
-Responsible for PGJ’s Profit & Loss
*Report to: CEO
*Requirements:
-A Japanese with excellent written and spoken English is highly sought after
-Good connections with Japan fashion retailers / buyers for business opportunities
-Strong sweater garment sales and marketing experience with proven track records in business development
-Communicates Effectively – capable of developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences, in both Japanese and English
-Customer Focus – building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions
-Manages Complexity – making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
-Manages Ambiguity – operating effectively, even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear
-Develops Talents – developing people to meet both their career goals and organization’s goals
-Comfortable with frequent business trip (globally, max 50% of time)
Salary: Max 1120k Yen p/m, discretionary bonus, relocation subsidy
