General information

This is a network of professional evaluators in Ghana, dedicated to the advancement of evaluation as a professional discipline in Ghana. In the field of evaluation, the NETWORK promotes: Leadership, Knowledge, Advocacy, & Professional Development. We are committed to a dynamic, open, and frank discussion on topics that WE face in managing projects and programs and also in measuring the results thereof. Postings should consist of questions, answers, innovative and simple solutions to issues, notification of courses and seminars (of practical interest to M&E practitioners), summaries of publications, and factual accounts of where M&E results are used, where professional ethics have failed, or lost their vision (so that all can learn from these failures). Job offerings (notices of employment) can be posted, however if you choose to reply to a job offer, please double check to make sure that you're replying privately. Postings from individuals seeking employment or consulting contracts are *not* allowed. Please do not critique harshly and always propose an alternative when you believe that another may be in error. We encourage postings in English, and encourage Ghanaian perspectives on M&E theories and practices. The GEN has members in every region of Ghana. We are organizing to offer services such as resource networks, professional development activities, and forums for members to explore, discuss and get involved with evaluation interests. The National Council is currently composed of an executive and cluster representatives. They strive to bring the national interests to all of the membership. Volunteers are the heart of this organization and participation in Cluster activities is welcome! Please also register at www.afrea.org as a member of GEN. Welcome on board.
