”I’M HOPEFUL”
I had 3 commercial vehicles, I made 1,700 per week. I had good intentions; I trusted.
I lost everything. I started a new . I needed to deliver 50 letters to 50 locations in a day. I could only do 10 letters or less by foot. I couldn’t afford any moving object. I arrested some gbonyo 🚲 from some guy wey dey owe me 4 yrs back. I carried the 🚲 inside. I spent almost 3 hours staring at the bike. I ask myself. “Kofi, your dream was to buy the car. Now, it’s this ugly bike” I stood talking for myself the whole time.
A lot came to mind; my , my , the people who saw me as their .. I was confused, I was at my lowest, I was getting tired. I had two options, I either Move & Hope or Stay & Die. The only statement that came to mind after 3 hours was “Ride or Die mfs“.
I took the bike and that was the beginning of another story.
Friends left, fans scattered, people who use to respect disrespected. I kept my head up. The people who laughed at me are still walking. I have 2 cars, a business and a reputation.
Life is all about you. Think you first. Think pain for gain and most importantly have . Hope is what gives strength to do. Hope is what keeps us on. Hope is what connects you with the future.
Say to yourself ‘I’m hopeful’
