The jobs market might not exactly be flying right now… but there are definitely a few reasons to feel positive👀

The latest KPMG and REC UK Report on Jobs for the South East, paints a fairly flat picture overall, but dig a little deeper and there are some encouraging signs.

Temp revenue is still growing, the decline in permanent vacancies has eased to its weakest level in two-and-a-half years, and starting salaries and temporary pay are continuing to rise. Across the UK, permanent placements also grew for the second month running, at their fastest rate since September 2022!

So, are we calling it a booming jobs market? Not quite, but are there reasons to feel a little more optimistic? We think so.

Like our MD mentioned in his post last week, we’ve just had our best quarter since 2022. 🎉
So we’re heading into the final part of the year feeling upbeat about what’s ahead.

🌱Just a quick update on our tree planting and a reminder that working us with won't save the planet but it will make a small but important step in the right direction 🌱

We've been funding the planting of trees, and more recently carbon avoidance projects since November 2022.

🌳 We've got a little digital forest going on now with over 3,660 trees after our planting for August. It's only small but we like to do our bit.

🕰️How time flies...

Can you believe it's been a whole 12 months since we moved into our new office.

We are now well and truly part of the Winnersh Triangle Business Park neighbourhood, having been regulars at their bootcamp and yoga classes every week, and regular visitors to various pop up events they have had like the Christmas Wreath and Hanging Basket making sessions. And not forgetting the annual Summer Fete which we went along to on Tuesday🌞
