September Round-Up

Another busy month for the team, so here’s a quick look at what we’ve all been up to.

Simon has been checking in with some of our partners and sourcing some great talent across a number of roles.

Outside of work, he’s been getting plenty of hiking in ahead of his trip to Morocco, as well as fitting in a couple of cheeky trips to Spain with the family.

Hollie has been a busy bee this month, updating the website and giving all of our salary guides a refresh ahead of their launch in the coming weeks. Keep your eyes peeled for those.

Outside of work, it’s been an equally busy month. Hollie headed to her sister’s wedding, celebrated her fiancé’s 30th birthday and, of course, celebrated her own birthday too. Safe to say, September has been a busy one.

Dom has been busy filling multiple positions across our specialist areas, including a number of lead roles.

Away from work, he’s been making the most of the countryside with plenty of hikes, usually followed by a well-earned stop at a pub garden to enjoy the last of the sunny weather.

Bob has been busy placing candidates into support roles across both permanent and contract positions.

Outside of work, he enjoyed a trip to the London Science Museum with his little girl to check out the Star Trek Trail. Sounds like a pretty good day out to us.

He’s also been back at another Chess Blitz tournament and put in a strong performance this time around.

As a team, we’ve enjoyed a few cheeky KFC lunches, recorded plenty more video content and worked together to get our salary guides ready for their upcoming launch.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to be heading to the South Coast User Group flagship event, as well as getting into the Halloween spirit.

Here’s to another great month ahead, continuing to support those looking for their next opportunity and helping businesses find the right people for their teams.

Some of the best moments at work happen in between everything else. 💙

A laugh over one of Bob’s dad jokes, a coffee catch-up, a quick chat between meetings or some very serious table tennis competition.

It’s these everyday moments that make work more enjoyable and bring a team closer together.

July has been a busy month, packed with highlights both inside and outside the Mexa office!

Let's take a look at what the team has been up to...

Simon has been working on several permanent roles across the Microsoft ecosystem and attended the UK Dynamics 365 & Power Platform User Groups (D365PPUG) in London.

Outside of work, he enjoyed a music festival with his wife and took on a hike across the South Downs with the dog.

Hollie has been busy creating a brand new resource to complement our salary guides, so keep an eye out because it's coming soon! She also organised a team photoshoot to refresh the images on our website.

Outside of work, she celebrated getting engaged, which we're all absolutely thrilled about. Congratulations, Hollie!

Bob has been focused on speaking with new clients and building new teams for growing businesses.

Away from work, he celebrated his 40th birthday with a short trip to the Netherlands and attended a fundraising event in Southampton for Ocean, a charity that provides sustainable and consistent healthcare to communities around the world.

Dominic has been hard at work sourcing candidates and helping our partners find great talent.

Outside of work, he enjoyed a well earned holiday to Corsica and attended the Farnborough International Airshow.

As a team, we've enjoyed our annual Mexa BBQ, team lunches and attending the Microsoft Cloud (South Coast) User Group. We also loved having Riley join us for work experience this month.

As we head into August, we're looking forward to continuing to help talented people find exciting new opportunities while supporting great businesses as they grow.

Here's hoping the warm weather sticks around too!

June has flown by, especially with the World Cup keeping us all entertained, so it's about time we looked back at what we've been up to!

Bob Bath has had a packed month. At work, he's been helping both new and returning clients find the right talent while supporting them in improving their hiring processes.

Outside of work, Bob played in his first rapid chess tournament, enjoyed a night of garden camping, cheered on his daughter at her sports day, and spent quality time with his family at Bournemouth Beach. They also went to see Toy Story 5.

Hollie has been busy updating one of our salary guides and creating two brand-new editions, while also exploring new ways we can use AI to improve our workflows.

Outside of work, she's been celebrating at multiple birthday parties and, of course, enjoying the World Cup in her bar!

Dom has been busy sourcing candidates for a variety of roles and supporting hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.

When he's not working, he's been keeping up with his running and exploring the South Downs on some fantastic hikes.

Simon has also had a busy month, helping clients fill both contract and permanent roles.

Away from work, he's been making the most of the outdoors by hitting the bike trails with the kids and celebrating his 9th wedding anniversary.

As a team, we've had plenty to celebrate too. We've decorated the office for the World Cup, continued our popular World Cup breakfasts, and welcomed Riley for a week of work experience.

Looking ahead, we're excited to share a recap of the South Coast Meetup, which took place on Tuesday.

We'll also be enjoying the rest of the World Cup and looking forward to our flagship two-day South Coast User Group event taking place in October.

May has been another very busy month, so let’s take a look at what we’ve been up to.

Hollie has been stepping up her video content, revamping parts of the website, and went to Brighton SEO.

Outside of work, she’s been just as busy celebrating her club staying up in the Premier League (much to Bob’s disappointment) and starting a new hobby: cycling!

Bob has also had a packed month. At work, he’s been connecting with top talent across the South Coast, as well as meeting clients alongside Dom in London.

In his free time, he’s been equally busy enjoying a variety of shows including live improv and Fareham Live with Kiell Smith-Bynoe, as well as Matilda at the Mayflower.

He also managed a trip to Haven with family, celebrated his 8-year wedding anniversary, started running, and even made time to head to Brighton to watch his wife complete a marathon in intense heat, raising over £500 for Breast Cancer Now.

Simon has been busy supporting more successful placements and meeting new clients to explore how we can support their recruitment needs.

Outside of work, he’s made the most of the good weather with plenty of walks and hikes with his kids, as well as showing his son how to use the equipment at the gym.

Dom has continued to deliver strong results, placing multiple roles across both permanent and contract opportunities. He’s also joined Bob on several client meetings in London.

Outside of work, he watched AFC Stoneham lift the Isuzu FA Vase at Wembley and jetted off to the beautiful city of Valencia for a long weekend

As a team, we’ve enjoyed attending and sponsoring the Microsoft Cloud South Coast User Group. It was great to see so many familiar and new faces.

We also enjoyed celebrating Sir David Attenborough’s birthday with a picnic around Swanwick Lakes!

Looking ahead, in June we’re looking forward to our breakfast challenges returning, the World Cup, and helping more talent connect with great companies!

Here’s to a great June.
