A recent review from a candidate really captures what Helen works hard to create throughout the process.

“I had a lovely experience with Helen. She was lovely and friendly from beginning to finish and it was so amazing to have her represent me!
She understood what I was after and made sure my new job was the right fit for me.

Thank you so much again Helen, would definitely recommend!”

Looking for a new role can feel like a big step. It is not just about finding a job title that matches your experience. It is about finding an opportunity that feels right for you, your goals, your confidence, and your next chapter.

That is why being properly understood matters.

Helen takes the time to listen, guide, and represent candidates with care, so the process feels clear, supportive, and considered from beginning to end.

If you are thinking about your next move, Helen is always happy to have a confidential conversation.

Tuesday | 9:00am

The brief was "Sales Support".
The real requirement was something much more specific.

One of the biggest misconceptions in hiring is that a job title tells you what a business needs. It doesn't.

Earlier this year, a local construction company approached Helen to support a Sales Support appointment.

The conversation could have started and ended with responsibilities, systems experience and salary expectations.

Instead, time was spent understanding the wider picture.
How did the team operate?
What type of personality would complement the existing culture?
What behaviours would help someone thrive in the environment?
What would success look like six months after joining?

Those conversations shaped everything that followed.

Within days, Helen introduced a candidate whose strengths aligned with what the business was genuinely looking for.
The client interviewed one person.
The offer was made immediately.

As the candidate left the building, the hiring team turned to each other and said: "She's perfect."

The most successful appointments often begin when the conversation moves beyond the job title and focuses on the outcome the business is trying to achieve.

If you are hiring and the brief still feels slightly unfinished, Helen can help you work through what the role really needs before the search begins.

The most meaningful reviews are about how someone was treated.

A recent Google review for ME Recruits described Helen as “by far the best” recruiter they had dealt with, and mentioned the care shown during the process rather than feeling like a commission was being chased.

That distinction matters.

People remember whether they felt listened to.
They remember whether the communication was thoughtful.
They remember whether advice felt genuine.

If you are looking for recruitment support that feels considered, honest and genuinely personal, Helen is always happy to have a conversation.

The best shortlists answer questions before they create them.

A hiring manager should not be left wondering:
Why has this person applied?
Do they understand the role?
Are they genuinely interested?
What attracted them to the opportunity?

Those conversations should already have taken place.

At ME Recruits, technology helps make the process efficient, but it never replaces professional judgement.

Candidates are assessed, interviewed and considered before they are introduced, allowing clients to spend their time where it matters most: meeting the people with the greatest potential to succeed.

We are here to present opportunities and people in a way that enables good decisions.

If an important hire is on the horizon, Helen is always happy to discuss the role before the search begins.

The job description is only the start...

It tells people what the role involves, but it does not always explain what the business really needs.

A good hiring process gets beneath the list of duties and looks more closely at where the pressures are.

What will success look like?
What kind of person will work well with the manager?
What does the team need more of?

These details shape everything and are fundamental to securing the right match.

They affect who should be approached, how the opportunity is positioned, and whether the eventual shortlist is genuinely useful.

This is where ME Recruits does much of its most important work.

Well before the search even begins.

What is a vacancy?

It can signal growth.
Pressure in a team.
A change in direction.
A role that has evolved faster than the job description.
A gap that is quietly affecting the rest of the business.

The possibilities are wide-ranging, which is why the first conversation matters so much.

Before anyone is introduced, ME Recruits looks at what sits behind the hire: the business, the team, the reason the role exists, and what the right person will need to bring beyond the obvious skills.

Yes, a CV can confirm experience, but it cannot tell you whether someone will strengthen your business in the way you need. That is where experience matters.

Knowing how to assess capability, motivation and cultural fit, while also recognising the difference between a candidate who can do the job and one who is likely to thrive in it.

If you are planning a hire and want a considered view of the market, Helen is always happy to have a conversation.

Behind every ME Recruits shortlist is a thoughtful, consultative process.

Helen takes the time to understand your business, your team, the role, and what the right person really needs to bring.

It means clients receive carefully matched introductions, not a high volume of CVs. It also means candidates are properly supported and represented throughout the process.

Recruitment works best when it feels like a partnership.

"We need someone with five years' experience."

It's something we hear regularly when discussing new vacancies with businesses.

Experience is important, but it's often not the thing that determines whether someone becomes a successful long-term hire.

The strongest appointments usually come down to much more than what's written on a CV.

▪️How do they communicate?
▪️How do they build relationships?
▪️How do they handle change?
▪️Will they fit the way the team works?
▪️Will they enjoy the environment they're joining?

These are often the things that make the difference between someone who can do the job and someone who genuinely thrives in it.

Before any role goes to market, it's worth taking a step back and asking:

Have we only defined the role, or have we defined the person who will be successful in it?

That conversation can completely change the outcome of a recruitment process.

If you're planning a hire and would like to talk through what success really looks like for the role, Helen is always happy to help.

One of the most rewarding parts of recruitment is hearing from people long after they've started their new role.

Recently, Helen received a message from a candidate she had helped place a while ago.

What they remembered wasn't the interview process or the job offer.

It was that when things didn't initially go their way, Helen still believed in their potential and gave them another opportunity to show what they could do.

They told her that they'd never forgotten it.

Recruitment isn't always about finding the most obvious match on paper.

Sometimes it's about recognising potential, understanding the person behind the CV and helping create opportunities that may otherwise have been missed.

Messages like this are a reminder of why Helen is so passionate about what she does.

If you're looking for a recruiter who takes the time to understand the whole person, we'd love to have a conversation.
