What can starting a career in recruitment actually teach you?

Quite a lot.

We currently have two apprentices within our team, Tye and Holly and watching their development has been a great reminder that an apprenticeship is about so much more than learning the job.
It is about building confidence.

👉 Learning how to communicate with different people.
👉 Understanding how to build genuine relationships.
👉 Developing sales and negotiation skills.
👉 Learning how to solve problems when things do not go to plan.
👉 And, perhaps most importantly, developing resilience.

Recruitment is a fast paced industry where no two days are quite the same. Candidates change their minds, interviews move, vacancies evolve and sometimes you have to think on your feet.

Those experiences can be some of the best learning opportunities.

We believe that giving young people the opportunity to learn in a real working environment allows them to develop skills they can carry throughout their careers, both inside and outside of recruitment.
