Acting Managing Director, Sophie Gilkes, had the pleasure of presenting Dean Liptrot, Estates Craftsperson, with the Annual Non-Clinical GEM Award, and £50 voucher, following his award win in August.

Dean was nominated after going above and beyond for a patient receiving end-of-life care who was getting married in hospital. When asked if he had anything that could be used as a wedding ring, Dean immediately stepped in, carefully crafting and polishing two copper pipe rings for the couple in just 30 minutes.

His kindness, compassion and willingness to help created a very special and lasting memory for the family during an incredibly difficult time.
