We're sure everyone would like to know the recipe for a successful job application β
There is not one correct answer for all roles but here's a couple of tips to help you on your way...
π· Ensure your CV is up to date - The most common mistake is leaving off your current position which looks like a big gap in employment to the hiring manager.
π· Always keep your CV accurate - Be proud of the skills/experience you have, don't try to enhance them as it will all come out in the wash and this is never good. Honesty is the best policy. If there's a skill you wish you have that would be beneficial to the role take up a course and write this in.
π· Tailor your CV to match the job description - If they're asking for certain skills or experience and you have these PLEASE make sure you make this prominent on your CV. You may find it asks for skills you haven't even mentioned but you do have.
π· Finally know the company - read up about the company and get to know them better. This will not only help you in the interview process but it will help you decide if you want to work for this company too. Look at their company website, linkedin page, news articles about them on google.
Like what you see? Good... time for an interview! π
