Early start for Ryan this morning heading over to site in Ashby-de-la-Zouch to catch up with Biniyam and see first-hand the progress he continues to make within the construction industry here in the UK.
Four years ago, Biniyam made the move from Ethiopia to the UK to pursue his passion for construction. Back home, he had already built valuable experience managing various construction projects, but like many skilled professionals moving abroad, starting again in a new country meant rebuilding both his reputation and career from the ground up.
Since arriving in the UK, Biniyam has worked across several different roles whilst continuing to push towards getting back into the career path he had worked so hard to establish in Ethiopia.
Through Ionic securing him a role as Gateman with McCrory’s Group, he has been able to further validate and develop his construction knowledge within the UK industry. His work ethic, attitude, and commitment have not gone unnoticed.
As a result, McCrory’s Group have now put Biniyam through his White CSCS card, creating a clear pathway for progression when future opportunities arise, whether on this project or the next. The goal is to continue progressing towards an Assistant Site Manager position, working closely alongside the management team who are investing their time, support, and knowledge to help him get there.
Stories like this are what the industry is all about, recognising potential, creating opportunities, and supporting people who are determined to build a better future for themselves through hard work and dedication.
Wishing Biniyam continued success on his journey!
Thank you, McCrory Holdings - Darren & Aaron showing the industry what real social value is!
