Within the commercial interiors sector (hotels, spas, restaurants, clubs, offices, retail, healthcare and education to name a few) clients require candidates with all-round skills, both technical and creative including surveying and feasibility studies, plans, elevations and technical drawing packages, space planning, visuals and presentation materials, co-coordinating of sub-contactors, as well a

s specifying and procurement of all FF&E, client liaison and site supervision. A knowledge of a variety of CAD packages is also essential such as AutoCAD, Vectorworks, SketchUp, 3D Studio, Photoshop and Illustrator. Showhome and residential design also requires all-round skills such as many listed above but the emphasis is particularly placed on fabrics and furnishings, styling and interior decorating (FF&E). Product CAD Technician, Surrey, to £30k, V04311. An amazing and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product CAD Technician to join the design and product development team of a highly respected luxury lighting and furniture brand. Our client is synonymous with beautifully crafted, high-end products and supplies some of the world's most prestigious hotels, yachts and residential projects. Product development, casting, decorative finishing, assembly and wiring are all undertaken in-house, alongside a network of highly skilled artisans. This is a 12-month contract role focused on an exciting project to digitally document and standardise their extensive back catalogue of furniture and lighting products. You will use SolidWorks to recreate existing physical products as accurate 3D models and technical drawings, ensuring their designs are properly documented and ready for manufacturing, specification and internal use. The role could be particularly well suited to a recent Product Design graduate looking to develop their CAD and technical skills within a luxury design environment.

The role will be to: Create accurate 3D models and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks; Produce detailed manufacturing, assembly, component and exploded-view drawings; Review and update existing drawings to ensure consistency and accuracy; Maintain organised drawing files, revisions and product information; Use Excel to manage drawing registers and documentation; Ensure technical drawings meet internal standards and are suitable for manufacture and supplier communication.

The Product CAD Technician will need to be proficient in SolidWorks and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and be comfortable working collaboratively with both design and technical teams. Experience producing detailed technical and assembly drawings (ideally including GAs and exploded views) will be needed as well as a good understanding of manufacturing processes for furniture, lighting or similar physical products. You’ll need to be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and possess good communication skills.

Our client is an established Interior Design Studio creating beautiful spaces, unforgettable experiences and exceptional interiors for clients in the UK and overseas. Based in stunning studio premises, they are a friendly and collaborative team working across a diverse portfolio of high-end residential and commercial projects. They are now looking for an experienced Interior Designer to join their team and take projects from concept through to completion. You can be based either from their studio near Bath and Bristol or out of their London office. You will play an important role in delivering high-quality interior design projects, translating client briefs into creative, considered and detailed design solutions.

The Interior Designer will be: Developing creative design concepts and delivering projects independently and as part of the wider design team; Preparing and presenting design proposals, presentations and supporting documentation; Researching and selecting materials, finishes and furnishings in line with the design concept and budget; Developing bespoke furniture design packages; Managing projects across all stages in line with the RIBA structure; Attending client and site meetings and confidently presenting design ideas; Building strong supplier relationships and identifying creative and sustainable approaches.

They are looking for an Interior Designer with a strong eye for detail and a genuine passion for interiors, materials, handling suppliers and architecture. You’ll have proficiency in AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, SketchUp and Microsoft Office and a strong understanding of materials, finishes and heritage buildings. Excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills will be needed as well as the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure. A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the confidence to take initiative plus a full, clean UK driving licence will also be required.

Salary is between £38,000 and £42,000 DOE plus 22 days' holiday (plus bank holidays, Christmas studio closure and your birthday off), staff discounts, Christmas and birthday gifts, professional development and support, healthcare support and enhanced maternity pay and a workplace pension scheme. Upholsterer, Edinburgh, to £34,000, V04296. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Upholsterer to join our client working on high-quality bespoke furniture for private individuals. The role involves upholstering custom-made pieces, stripping, fitting, cutting, foam work and finishing to a high standard. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong traditional and modern upholstery skills who takes pride in precision, quality, and finishing to work with a small and friendly team.

Key Responsibilities are to: Measure, cut and fit fabrics, leather, foam and fillings accurately; Carry out both modern and traditional upholstery techniques; Ensure all work meets high-quality finishing standards; Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment; Meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career design engineer to develop their technical and product development skills within a creative and collaborative environment. Working alongside experienced designers and engineers, you will support the development of new and existing products, producing accurate CAD data, manufacturing drawings and technical documentation.
