We are currently recruiting for a Production / Assembly Operative to join a thriving and growing manufacturing business based in Bradford.

This is a hands-on role where attention to detail is essential, working as part of a busy production team.

Key responsibilities include:

✔ Setting up, operating and shutting down machinery
✔ Using and reading digital measuring equipment
✔ Carrying out equipment checks at the start of each shift
✔ Checking job specifications against production materials
✔ Maintaining stock levels to support production
✔ Recording machine settings and production data
✔ Planning for product and material changes
✔ Identifying and reporting equipment issues
✔ Working closely with colleagues to ensure smooth operations

🕒 Shift Options:
• 6:00am – 2:00pm
• 8:00am – 4:00pm
• 37.5 hours per week

Previous manufacturing experience is desirable, although candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Working closely with the management team, you'll play a key role in driving a positive HSE culture, maintaining compliance, and supporting continuous improvement across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities include:

✔ Managing and improving ISO-accredited HSE & Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001)
✔ Leading risk assessments, COSHH, incident investigations and contractor safety
✔ Delivering inductions, training and occupational health programmes
✔ Supporting audits, KPI reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
✔ Promoting a proactive health & safety culture across the business
✔ Deputising for the Group HSE Director when required

We're looking for candidates with:

✅ Level 6 Health & Safety qualification (or working towards)
✅ Experience managing ISO-accredited HSE systems
✅ Manufacturing environment experience
✅ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
✅ Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

• FMCG experience
• Environmental qualifications
