GI GROUP is looking for FLT Counter Balance and Reach Truck Drivers in Wolverhampton and Birmingham area.
PAY - £14
Mon - Frid 8am -5pm , however this might change later in year to 6am -2pm /2pm-10 pm rotational shift and you will be required to work both shifts.
This job will involve moving an existing company in Wolverhampton to new building in Birmingham. You will be required to multitask and be flexible , not only operate a forklift.
We are seeking for candidates who are happy to get off the truck and do different jobs , which might include - painting , moving , lifting , assembly , de-assembly , housekeeping , loading , unloading , etc .
FLT (Forklift Truck) Driver job typically involves safely operating a forklift to move, load, and unload goods in a warehouse or industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Safe and Efficient Forklift Operation: Moving, loading, and unloading goods using various forklift types, ensuring the safety of self and others.
Inventory Management: Assisting with inventory counts, stock takes, and maintaining accurate records.
Loading and Unloading: Loading and unloading goods from trucks and other vehicles.
Organization: Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment.
Equipment Maintenance: Checking forklift equipment for faults and reporting any issues.
Adherence to Regulations: Following health and safety regulations and forklift operating procedures.
Communication and Teamwork: Communicating with team members and following instructions.
Skills and Qualifications:
Valid Forklift Truck License (mandatory) RTITB/ ITSSAR/ABA
Experience operating various types of forklifts (counterbalance, reach, etc.).
Good understanding of FLT operations and inventory management.
Ability to work efficiently and safely in industrial environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical ability to handle manual tasks and lifting.
Other potential duties may include:
Using packing machines and labelling devices, Consolidating partial pallets, Reporting on stock levels and discrepancies, and Assisting with basic forklift maintenance.
