I'm recruiting for carers at the moment for a Nursing Home near Morriston/Clydach areas of Swansea. It's a great home, I know it personally and I can highly recommend. For the right candidate, there will be plenty of opportunity for development.

There are excellent rates of pay (£12-£13.50) depending on the shift (eg days, nights, weekends) plus the opportunity to qualify for an additional 50p per hour plus monthly and annual bonuses (subject to criteria)

I am recruiting for a Nursing Home near Morriston who are looking for an experienced Nurse to join their Nursing Team. The home has approximately 48 residents with a permanent staff team of Nurses and experienced carers.

You must have previous experience of working in a Nursing Home. This is absolutely essential. You must be passionate about the care and support of elderly residents, be aligned with our value of providing good care, love, attention, individuality and support. You must be an RGN, with post-qualifying experience of working in a Nursing Home.

We pay our Nurse in the range of £21-£25 per hour and offer the following conditional bonuses:

After completion of 1 year: £1,000
After completion of 2 years: £1000
After completion of 3 years: £7,500

We are looking for our new Nurse to begin their induction with us within 6-8 weeks, so candidates will already be working within the UK. You must have a good knowledge of CIW regulations, the importance of compliance and methodical and detailed record-keeping. We use electronic systems of record-keeping so confidence in using IT is essential. You will of course receive full training in this.

I was thrilled to speak to People Management Magazine today about the potential impact of a new code from the BSI which acts as a guide to creating a diverse and inclusive working culture.

I will be posting more about the code over the next few days. But for those of us working in SMEs, there are some real business benefits to be gained from working towards the standards.
