👀 Finance Assistant
📍 Gateshead
⌛ Direct Hire

✔️ Daily monitoring of all purchase orders, checking for approval, distribute to suppliers and matching to purchase invoices through Lightyear
✔️ Point of contact for procurement across the business, including monitoring
✔️ Clearing purchasing and accounts inboxes to ensure all queries have been actioned
✔️ Production of weekly sales invoices
✔️ Credit control assistance
✔️ Support of month end close for AP and AR including statement reconciliations
✔️ Assisting with month end journals
✔️ Quarterly VAT return preparation
✔️ Processing of bi-weekly payment run
✔️ Processing of staff expenses and credit card reconciliations

✨ Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar finance role.
✨ Excellent excel and computer skills are required
✨ Experience of Xero accounting software
✨Experience of Lightyear – purchasing and AP platform
