Trent Alexander-Arnold has made a significant multi-year financial commitment to cover the costs for hundreds of youngsters to play football across Liverpool. The Trent Alexander-Arnold League has been set up for 5/6 year-olds in West Derby.
So far, around 250 kids have benefited from a flourishing initiative that is being led by Ricky Heywood, the key link between Liverpool’s academy and the club’s charitable foundation.
Liverpool’s head of pre-academy recruitment Ian Barrigan: “Trent came up with this idea himself, as he wanted to help and make a difference. Thanks to the funding he’s provided we’ve now set up these two development centres. It is getting bigger and bigger. He does so much for the local community and this is another unbelievable gesture.” [the athletic]
