Role: Planner/Scheduler

The Planner/Scheduler will be responsible for the planning services on large Pharmaceutical projects. The successful candidate will be capable of working independently from a scheduling perspective but expected to participate and heavily contribute to the team environment as well. The Planner will develop and manage a baseline master integrated schedule, assist the contractor with schedule set-up and perform schedule health checks in line with scheduling best practices. The Planner will also be expected to develop and update periodic reporting internally to the client and stakeholders. The successful candidate will be client facing with proven communication and organizational skills, reporting directly to the client/senior stakeholders.

In this role you will:
*Build project schedules encompassing full project scope, milestones and timelines, using critical plan methodology
*Ensure clear responsibility and ownership for all project deliverables is defined via Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
*Negotiate and mediate timelines and project interdependencies between key partners for a great client outcome
*Ensure schedule adheres to the project ex*****on plan and in particular contracting, procurement and project control strategy documents and plans.
*Provide regular updates on schedules progress

*Have demonstrated quantitative risk assessment (QRA) experience and expertly interpret and communicate findings to key partners
*Are detailed ordinated and quality focused
*Have a degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline
*Have working experience of using P6
*Experience on pharmaceutical projects is preferred
*Experience in Life Science
*Have a minimum of 6 years experience

KDM Partnership are supporting a Global Chemical client in their multi million pound Teesside investment.

We are looking for a Pre Contract specialist to lead and deliver appropriate contract strategies for delivery of the Mechanical, Piping, E&I, Civil and Structural works. There will also be the requirement to support the procurement of Long Lead and Main Plant Items.

In this programme critical role your duties will broadly include:

*Providing detailed advice and guidance to the organisation on all aspects of procurement and at all stages of the commissioning and procurement cycle

*Design competitive processes to identify the most economically advantageous tender.

*Consider and advise on the most appropriate style of contract based on project drivers i.e. Lump Sum, Target Cost etc.

*Managing and leading the allocated Contract administration on behalf of the Procurement and Contracts Lead.

*Developing allocated Project Contracts

*Establishing, maintaining, and reviewing contract performance indicators

*Undertake contract benchmarking for corporate contracts as well as supporting development of these in service-specific contracts.

*Undertake the tendering, evaluation, placement and monitoring of project contracts.

*Placing of MPI/LDI (Main Plant Items & Long Delivery Items)

The skills and experience that you will ideally have, include:

*Understanding of NEC Option A is desired however, experience with other model forms will be beneficial.

*Experience of cradle to grave procurement process.

*Critical thinker with the ability to work to tight deadlines.

*Good communicator on all levels.

*Experience of working in a similar discipline on Oil & Gas or heavy engineering type projects.

*During the FEED stage UK travel will be required as well as remote working.

Contract length - up to 6 months however there is the possibility of this being extended following contract awards.
