Riverside Training is a specialist childcare training company, with over 20 years’ experience of delivering qualifications to many employees including childcare workers, teaching assistants, administration staff and managers in the workplace.
We are seeking a freelance tutor to support a cohort of 8/9 candidates studying the Early Years Educator pathway of the Children and Young People's Workforce Apprenticeship programme. Candidates are located in the North Norfolk area within the following areas: Dereham, North Walsham, Fakenham, Bawdeswell.
Duties will include:
• Deliver CYPW Early Years Educator training to L3
• Provide teaching, learning and assessment for Apprentices to ensure they develop the knowledge and skills required to achieve their qualifications
• Deliver English and Maths Functional Skills to Level (with support from a specialist tutor
• Manage your time to ensure efficient delivery
• Work closely with candidates and employers to ensure they receive a quality learning experience and progress well through their programmes to achieve their qualifications by the planned end date
• Organise and maintain learner files required for funding and audit and ensure that all audit evidence required is present, up-to-date and accurate at all times
• Provide pastoral support to learners
• Offer a range of teaching strategies to enable learners to overcome barriers to learning
Applicants must have:
• a recognised teaching or assessing qualification (e.g. D32/33, A1, TAQA or CAVA)
• Solid occupational experience with Childcare/Early Years Education
• A childcare qualification at L3 minimum
• High level organisational and time management skills
• a full driving license
• experience of delivering apprenticeships, including knowledge of functional skills
You should also be able to demonstrate:

• Excellent customer communication and engagement skills
• a collaborative teamwork approach
• Flexibility to adapt to client requirements (employers and learners)
• the ability to engage, inspire and motivate learners
The salary will be paid on a 'per candidate' basis but will include a significant premium over average salaries in the sector.
