Nicola was almost 50 when she decided enough was enough.

She'd tried doing it on her own more times than she cared to admit. Sound familiar?

In 12 weeks, yes she lost weight. But that wasn't what she led with when she told me how she felt.

She said she'd got her energy back. Felt stronger. Felt more in control.

That's what this is really about. Not just the weight. Not just the waist size.

It's about feeling like yourself again. Showing up better — at work, at home, in life.

Nicola didn't do anything extreme.
No crash diet.
No punishing sessions.

Just a clear plan, the right support, and the consistency to see it through.

If she can do it, so can you.

You don’t need to apologise for being disciplined.

Not for getting up early to train.

Not for putting your workout in the diary and sticking to it.

Not for saying no to a drink.

Not for passing on the cake.

Most people want the results.

Few people are willing to make the choices that create them.

Be one of the few.

Want to start the change today?
Give me a shout.

Week 14 of my shoulder rehabilitation this week.

I had a bit of a ni**le over the last few days, so I did what I encourage my clients to do.

I stepped back a little, reduced the intensity, and listened to what my body was telling me.

I saw the physio on Thursday and she was happy with the progress. She’s given me a few new exercises to wake up some of the smaller muscles around the shoulder and keep things moving in the right direction.

One thing that continues to surprise me is how rehabilitation works.

At this stage, dropping a ball from my hand and catching it can hurt more than lifting a dumbbell.

Recovery isn’t always as straightforward as people think.

Sometimes the movements that look easy are the ones that challenge you the most.

The plan now is simple.

Stay patient.
Stay consistent.
Keep doing the work.

Progress isn’t always a straight line, but it’s still progress. 💪🏻

At my heaviest I was 127kg.

I was drinking too much. Neglecting my health. Disciplined in every other area of my life — and completely ignoring the one that mattered most.

I lost over 27kg in my 50s. Rebuilt my strength. Became alcohol-free. Retrained as a personal trainer.

I'm 63. I still train seriously every week.

I'm not telling you this to impress you. I'm telling you because I know exactly what it feels like to be stuck. To know what you should be doing and still not do it.

And I know what it takes to change.

It's not a miracle programme. It's not punishment. It's structure, consistency, and having someone in your corner who's actually been there.

That's what I do now. Help people over 50 get back in control.

You are not too old. You are not too far gone.
