Our client is a long-established Mechanical and Electrical Contractor employing approx. 100 staff providing installation and maintenance services from offices in Worthing.

They currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join the growing Projects team within this long-established and highly respected contractor.

As Electrical Estimator you will be working on designs through to installation, commissioning and maintenance across multiple sectors including Commercial Offices, Domestic, Industrial, Public Buildings, Healthcare, Education, Retail and Leisure, with contract values ranging from £50k up to £2m.

Electrical Estimator - Specification:

- The successful candidate will be an experienced Electrical Estimator (minimum 3 years' experience) working within the Building Services sector and have an electrical qualification to level 3 or equivalent industry experience and
- Track record of pricing tenders in the region of £50k up to £2m
- The ability to build good working relationships with clients, wholesalers and subcontractors.
- Ability to manage own workload and achieve deadlines.
- Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
- Strong Negotiating skills
- Ideally educated to HNC / HND or Degree in Building Services, or Plumbing/HVAC

Planner - Duties:
- Must have site experience
- Compile Tender programmes and sequence m**hodologies
- Consult with subcontractors to discuss and plan phases of the programme
- Ensure the quality of programmes is consistent and company standards are maintained
- Attend and present programme information at tender adjudications and post tender interviews
- Once projects are won, assist the project team to develop the construction programme.
- Support project construction teams with CPD related to the use of the Elecosoft Power Project software

In this role, you will be responsible for the planning function on medium to large tenders and sites involving complex and detailed analysis of large volumes of information.

Planner - Duties:
- Determine the requirements for site set-up and independently prepare phasing, logistics and time slices along with associated m**hodology/narratives as required by the tender deliverables.
- Prepare and analyse scaffold, temporary services, crane enquiries, quotations and the like.
- Identify requirements for temporary works and liaise with temporary works coordinator on site.
- Liaise with temp works department to obtain design and costings.
- Obtain quotes for 4D construction simulation and liaise with specialist to produce simulations for tenders/interviews.
- Compile prelim books for adjudication.

- Experience of working within a Senior Planning role for a construction business.
