Working in children’s residential care is about being a consistent, trusted person in a young person’s life 💚

We’re looking for Residential Support Workers to join children’s homes in Leyland, supporting young people with everything from their daily routines and education to activities, independence and personal development.

You’ll need patience, resilience and the ability to build positive relationships, particularly when a young person is having a difficult day.

Previous experience with children or young people in care, support, residential or education settings is desirable, but just as important is a genuine commitment to helping young people feel safe, supported and able to move forward.

Both full-time and casual opportunities are available.

September often feels like a fresh start. The summer holidays come to an end, children return to school and routines begin again.

In health and social care, though, the support never stops. Throughout the summer, our incredible support workers have continued to show up for the people who rely on them.

This opportunity would suit a confident leader with at least two years’ experience in children’s residential care and previous experience in a senior or management role. You’ll hold, or be working towards, an NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification, and have a full UK driving licence.

You’ll lead and support a dedicated residential care team, creating a safe, warm and stable home where children and young people feel valued and can achieve positive outcomes. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a child-focused culture, developing strong relationships with families and external agencies, managing recruitment and staff development, and ensuring safe and consistent rota coverage.

💷 Salary: Up to £47,500 per annum

In celebration of National Dog Day yesterday, we got our furry friends on a Teams call to discuss the very important topic of fair and equal treat distribution.

It pretty much went how most of our internal Teams calls go…

One sat far too close to the camera....
One really tried to get the crew to stick to the agenda...
One was clearly having a jolly with a friend and had forgotten to blur their background...
And one, from a completely different department joined by mistake 🐹

No decisions were made, but everyone agreed there should be more treats.
