Conveyancing Assistant
A busy residential conveyancing team require a conveyancing assistant to provide support during the latter stages of the conveyancing process.
The FirmA Partner led private practice with offices along the South Coast. The firm has strong links with the Portsmouth area and provide legal services to business and individual clients whilst having developed a healthy relationship with property clients including estate agents, developers, builders and investors.
The Role
The conveyancing assistant role will provide administration support to fee earners and dealing with file preparation for post exchange, paying stamp duty, registrations with land registry, liaise with the finance team on billing, adhere to compliance legislation and communicate effectively with conveyancing fee earners.
The Candidate
A conveyancing paralegal with experience of post exchange and completion matters, capable of working on own initiative, strong communication skills, car owner and driver.
Salary dependent upon experience.

The firm

The private client team employ some very talented lawyers and provide excellent support and guidance to their employees.

The role
Private Client Paralegal to support senior fee earners with their private client work involving plenty of client contact, obtaining initial client information when required, preparing basic will preparation, being involved with the process of witnessing wills as well as involvement of probates and trusts. The role is commutable from Bournemouth, Ferndown, New Milton, Lymington, Bransgore, Ringwood, Fordingbridge, Wimborne and Verwood.

Requirements

Compliance Manager - A law firm in with offices in Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey area require a Part-time Compliance Manager to be based in any of their offices. The successful Compliance Manager will have previous experience in a legal environment and will be responsible for ensuring the Company satisfies all relevant requirements set out by the Solicitors Regulation Authority together with any additional regulators in relation to compliance matters, including but not limited to:
·Developing, implementing and maintaining compliance procedures, systems and processes.

·Having responsibility for the role of designated complaints hander.

Requirements include being well organised, a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, good IT skills and practical knowledge of Microsoft Office and any relevant case management software, previously been appointed as COLP and must be a qualified lawyer in England & Wales.
