3-Axis CNC Operator
📍 Location: Hamble, Southampton

💰 Salary: From £40,000- £50,000 based on 40 hours (negotiable depending on experience)

For the £50,000 rate you must be able to use Rhino 3D, load the program into the CNC machine and be able to edit the designs if needed, for example extend flanges and hit the ground running. Lower experienced and willing candidates will be considered and subject to a rate agreed during the interview.

📅 Start date: January 2027

⏰ Hours: 40 hours per week, with plenty of overtime available

I'm recruiting for an experienced 3-Axis CNC Operator to join a specialist company manufacturing custom-built tender boats.

The role:

Importing and working with Rhino 3D models in VCarve.

Machining MDF, model board and plastics to produce tooling for composite moulding.

Making adjustments to 3D models where required.

Operating a TigerTec TR408 8 × 4 CNC machine.

Both permanent and contractor roles are available for certain roles and everything is ASAP starts.

16 x Composite Lay up operatives
£29,000-£36,000 Base Salary @37.5hrs, shift dependant.
Plenty of overtime available
Contractor roles will be inside IR35 and pay is shift dependant £30 P/H to £37.50 P/H umbrella.

10 x Semi skilled ( Debag- Triage -Inserts - Paint)
£25000 Base Salary, again shift dependant with 20% uplift for back shift and 25% uplift for nights.
Overtime available

3 x Shop floor managers
£40,000-£48000 (Shift Dependant)

2 x WIP coordinator - Night shift only atm.
£27000-£28000 Base

Training will be offered for the Semi-Skilled roles. Nice route to an AO ticket

These are ASAP starts with 50 hours worked as a minimum per week, more obviously once you are comfortable with the way they operate.
