We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to undergo 1:1 work full time within one of our established Rotherham primary schools.

Your new School
The School is based in south of the town of Rotherham and just 4 miles from the Sheffield City Centre. The pupils display good behaviour and positive attitudes towards learning. The School ethos promotes pupils spiritual, moral and social development along with calm and purposeful environment for them learn in.

Your new role
The role requires 1:1 work with a Y5 SEN pupil who has Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. The ideal candidate will have previous SEN experience, a passion for working with children experiencing special educational needs and be confident in communicating with the SENCO, leadership team and parents. The school aims to ensure maximum learning fun and enjoyment via inclusion for the pupil within their peer group whenever it is possible.

What you will need to succeed
CACHE Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Recent practical experience in a classroom setting
The ability to communicate effectively with SEN pupils
Commitment to the school for the duration of the assignment
Certificate of Manual Handling is desirable
