Last week we gathered for a send-off to two incredible team members who’ve made a huge impact at Heartland Hotel Haast.

Makalita Hakaumotu – our amazing Bar Manager, has been with Scenic for a whopping 14 years! From our Tongan Hotel to Haast, Lita’s been an absolute star no matter where she has been – we’ll miss her big time!

Malotoga Maiava – aka Donna, our wonderful House Supervisor, has been part of the Haast crew for 6 years. Safe travels and fa’afetai lava for everything!

Thanks for the memories, laughs, and all the hard mahi. You’ll always be part of the Scenic whānau.

We’re excited to announce Raj Karekar as the new Hotel Manager at Legacy Te Waonui Hotel Franz Josef.

Raj is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and has already made his mark in the Scenic family. He played a key role in establishing Scenic Hotel Punakaiki and was recognised as an emerging talent at the 2024 Hotel Management Awards. Raj is set to take guest experiences to new heights and help cement the Legacy brand in Kiwi hospitality.
