The role involves:

Sorting parcels by postcode and placing them in the appropriate cage

Checking details and addresses on labels to ensure that they are correctly sorted

Ensuring that parcels are handled safely to prevent damage

The operation at the warehouse is fast-paced and time-sensitive. The right candidate must have excellent multi-tasking skills, work well under pressure and be flexible on duties and hours for the needs of the business. Experience working within the transportation or logistics industry is beneficial.

Position 1: Part-time Role: 20hrs / Salary: £12,666 (Full-time equivalent £24,000)

Position 2: Part-time Role: 16hrs / Salary: £10,240 (Full-time equivalent £24,000)

The principal duties and responsibilities of this role encompass tasks and activities that primarily related to the purpose of the role and may include other duties that are supplementary to the role. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Provide both group and 1:1 Information, Advice and Guidance sessions to unemployed and economically inactive participants and young people and adults engaged in training with AALFY.

Undertake the assessments, designing and monitoring individual action plans and delivering support including CV writing, interview skills, applications and job-search techniques to prepare them to progress into sustainable employment.

Liaising with local employers and colleges to match candidates with opportunities.

Managing the progression of candidates to employment, training or education
