The role is to respond to call outs from elderly and vulnerable people living in sheltered accommodation, applications can be considered from candidates anywhere in the Keighley or Bradford area. To round up our International Women’s Day intros we wanted to finalise with our Director of Services.

Vickie Marshall has been at the heart of the business for 17 years. The daughter of its founder, Sue Marshall, Vickie has been leading BDS to deliver housing recruitment and mobile response services throughout the Country and inspiring her long standing national teams to care as much as she does.

Vickie’s passion for supporting people and dedication to delivering services that provide vulnerable people with housing solutions as well as enabling people to live independently in their own homes means she is one of the industries most trusted and dedicated providers to the housing sector.

Now a mother to two young children, Vickie dedicates her time to both work and family, providing BDS with ongoing leadership and installing trust in others to deliver the quality services she is so passionate about.

In the lead up to International Women’s Day we wanted to introduce you to some of our female colleagues who are an integral part of the team here at BDS….

Charlotte Cooper is one of our Senior Recruiters. Now in her third year, Charlotte joined BDS as a trainee and has shown what hard work and dedication can achieve having gained two promotions in her time so far.

Charlotte works with some of the Countries leading national housing associations and a number of local housing providers and housing charities offering them a seamless recruitment service of both temporary and permanent placements. Charlotte is an absolute pleasure to have as part of our team and fulfils every brief she is given and has created some fantastic working relationships with our longstanding clients who trust Charlotte as much as we do to provide a quality and efficient service from start to finish. What a superstar!

In the lead up to International Women’s Day we wanted to introduce you to some of our female colleagues who are an integral part of the team here at BDS….

Louise Ibberson is our Operations Manager and is responsible for everything operational at BDS. Her team manages HR, payroll, compliance and finance as well as general company operations. Louise is also the account manager for our Mobile Responder services, working with Housing Associations and Local Authorities to support elderly and vulnerable service users to remain independent and in their own homes for longer. Louise has been with BDS for nearly 8 years and has played an integral part in setting up our current processes and procedures, there is very little that she doesn’t know about how BDS works! We love having Louise at the head of our operations and can’t wait to see what she can do in future years.

Caroline Pinson is our Finance Manager and is a key member of our operational team, she manages all of our finance procedures including purchase ledger, sales ledger, reporting and invoicing (which includes her favourite task of managing client Purchase Orders!). Caroline joined us during the COVID pandemic and provided a steady pair of hands from the outset, she has been instrumental in our growth and development and we are proud to have her as part of our team.

BDS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a befriender to work within a retirement living service based in Chichester

This is a new development offering the residents new and stylish living space either private rented or via shared ownership. Onsite residents benefit from services such as Café/Bistro, Spacious Gardens and Hair Salon.

We are looking for a warm and welcoming individual to assist older adults to remain independent by:

· Running social clubs- organising bingo games, crafts etc

· Helping with admin tasks such as contacting utility companies, filling out paperwork

· Driving and attending hospital / doctor’s appointments if needed

The role

Working hours; 15 hours per week across Monday- Friday – no weekend working paying £15.00 per hour PAYE

A rota basis which will be provided 3 weeks in advance.

This is a temp to perm position where you work with us for 12 before joining the client on a permanent basis.
