A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an experienced *Female Support Worker(s) to work with an active, inquisitive and sociable 12 year old girl who lives in Luton with her parents and siblings.
Our Client is a delightful young girl who likes to be around lively and positive people and we are therefore looking for one or more Support Workers who are engaging and creative and who will embrace the chance to interact with our Client both at home as well as in the local and wider community.
The successful candidate(s) will enable our Client to develop her independence and confidence within the home and when accessing age appropriate activities within the local community. You will also be required to fulfil some Client related administrative and domestic duties as part of the role.
Rates of Pay
Monday to Friday: £15.00 per hour
Weekends: £16.00 per hour
Bank Holidays: 1.5 times usual hourly rate
Contracted hours available:
We are recruiting for one or more Support Workers with 24 hours per week available over the following pattern:
Saturday & Sunday: 08:00 - 14:00 (6 hours per shift)
Three weekdays (Monday - Friday): 16:00 - 20:00 (4 hours per shift)

The Client
Our Client has dystonic cerebral palsy, severe cognitive and intellectual deficits and an alternating divergent squint. She is non-verbal and is dependent on others for all her daily needs including support with her mobility. You will be required to learn her communication strategies due to her speech and language difficulties.
The role requires the individual to undertake personal care, manual handling and administer medication. Our Client loves swimming and it would be beneficial if the successful candidate(s) are comfortable in water to able to take her swimming. The successful candidate(s) will receive training from our Client's MDT team so that they can participate and support our Client's therapy programmes and adhere to the protocols in the care plan.
Hobbies & Interests
Our Client is encouraged to live a full life and taking part in social and recreational activities is vital. She
particularly loves sensory play, swimming, listening to music and being outdoors and her Support Worker(s) are expected to actively participate in all of these activities. We are looking for Support Worker(s) who will be proactive and creative with the willingness to join in with all activities and therapy programmes.
Person Specification
* · Experience of working as a Support Worker is essential.
* · Good written and verbal communication skills, planning skills and confident in the use of IT.
* · Experience of working with children with special education needs or disabilities, including personal care is essential.
* · Full, clean UK driving licence is desirable to be able to drive the client's adapted vehicle
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
