The Empowering Project

The Empowering Project The Empower programme supports, challenges and inspires people to make changes to improve their lives.

Each individual that comes through Empower is paired up with a Project Navigator (with a criminal history themselves) to identify the best solution to attain employment. All Empower ask is that all its clients who sign up respect that they have to work hard to address any problems which the Navigators identify that are preventing attaining employment.

General information

Empower is a funded project supported by the flexible support fund (DWP) safer neighbourhoods, substance misuse programme and burglary funds and youth offending service. Our goal is to create employment opportunities for offenders/ex offenders by addressing the barriers which affect an offender/ ex offender gaining employment. The team puts offenders / ex offenders. thier employability and employment at the heart of everything that we do. We are non-judgemental, open and honest and aim to build trust with our client group and our partner organisations. Employers can work towards significantly reducing the countries deficit, changing lives and bettering communities by embracing change and realising that the employment of offenders is a worthy investment for society as a whole.
