September is here… and it’s back to business!

The summer holidays are coming to an end, the out-of-offices are disappearing and September always seems to bring that real “back to business” feeling.

We’re really pleased to share that Shannon Saltmer has been promoted to Talent Coordinator, specialising in temporary recruitment across North and East Yorkshire.

Shannon originally joined KD Recruitment in an administration and compliance-focused role, but over time we’ve seen her develop a real strength for speaking with candidates, understanding what they’re looking for and helping us match people into the right temporary opportunities.

She’s worked hard to build her recruitment knowledge, taken on more responsibility and become an important part of how we support both our temporary workers and the businesses that rely on us when they need someone quickly.

Temporary recruitment can be fast-paced and unpredictable. It takes someone who can stay organised, communicate well, build relationships and keep lots of moving parts on track.

That’s exactly where Shannon has really grown.

One of the things we’re most passionate about at KD Recruitment is giving people the opportunity to develop their careers with us, and Shannon’s progression is a great example of that.

We’re incredibly proud of how far she has come and very excited to see her continue to build her career and expertise within temporary recruitment.

We're recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to work closely with the Finance Manager, supporting the day-to-day finance function across sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control, reconciliations and general accounts administration.

You'll also support the team through the implementation of a new ERP system, making this an interesting time to join the business and get involved in an important period of change.

£27,000–£28,000 per annum
Full-time, permanent position
37.5 hours per week
Monday to Thursday, 8:00am–4:30pm

As summer draws to a close, we're rounding off August with a little treat for Team KD!

The summer months always seem to fly by, and this year has been no exception. As we head towards September, we've been reflecting on some of the conversations, themes and successes we've shared throughout the summer at KD Recruitment.

From flexible working and four-day weeks, to work-life balance, career breaks and employee engagement, we've talked a lot about how the world of work continues to change and how important it is for businesses to understand what their people really value.

We've also looked at recruitment during the summer months, shared plenty of new opportunities across our region and continued to support businesses with finding the right people for their teams.

But some of our favourite posts this summer have been the ones that have come from you. We've received some absolutely lovely candidate testimonials and feedback, and reading about people's experiences with KD from that very first conversation and registration through to interview preparation and starting a new role is always incredibly rewarding for our team.

And behind the scenes, we've been practising what we preach too. We know that employee engagement, flexibility and a healthy lifestyle balance aren't just things to talk about they're things we want to embrace within our own team.

We're recruiting for a Quotations & Estimating Coordinator to join an established manufacturing business in Willerby. Working within the Commercial team, you'll turn customer requirements into accurate and competitive quotations, considering everything from materials and labour to design and production time.

You'll work closely with Account Management, Commercial and operational teams, so this would suit someone who is confident with numbers, highly organised and takes real pride in getting the detail right.
