We always notice is that students tend to ask the same key questions. Here are some of the most common:

How long should a CV be?
For students and early-career candidates, one page is usually enough. Focus on your education, skills, achievements, work experience, volunteering and extracurricular activities. Keep it clear, concise and relevant.

What if I have no experience?
Don't worry – everyone starts somewhere. Employers know students may not have formal work experience. Include volunteering, school projects, sports teams, clubs, part-time jobs or any responsibilities that demonstrate transferable skills such as teamwork, communication and leadership.

What should I wear to an interview?
Dress smartly and professionally. Research the company beforehand and aim to dress slightly more formally than their everyday workplace attire. Looking presentable shows respect for the opportunity and helps create a positive first impression.

What do recruiters actually look for?
It's not always about having the most experience. Recruiters are often looking for:
