We are so pleased to announce that one of our team, Jen M, has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Community Based Worker of the Year Award 2026!

The Cornwall County Council Proud to Care team received over 1,200 nominations this year, and Jen is one of just three finalists shortlisted for this prestigious award.

“I can’t believe it, I just really enjoy what I do, I didn’t expect to be nominated, I’m over the moon” said Jen.

“I was so pleased to hear that Jen has been shortlisted. This is a significant achievement and reflects not only Jens individual commitment, but also the high standards and values that we strive for as a team.” Said Carol.

Jen will find out in September whether she will take home the award, whatever the outcome she is already a winner in our eyes and absolutely deserving of her nomination 💙
