The successful candidate would be a highly effective leader and manager of practices, with a track record for developing and implementing tailored interventions, as well as providing ongoing guidance and support to colleagues.

They would also be expected to role model high quality teaching for pupils with a range of and (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) difficulties. Helping them to achieve their full potential - both academically and socially - and become brilliant 16-year-olds with secure future pathways.

Our new SENDCo would also work closely with our teaching teams, parents and external agencies to create and monitor Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and Pupil Passports. They would also collaborate with our Senior Leadership Team, including our Director of Education, Kevin Buchanan and Executive Headteacher, Dympna Woods to monitor teaching and learning activities and work on pupil consultations, suitability assessments and admissions case management.

At least 2 years of management experience, preferably within the sector, is required to fulfil this demanding role, as is a qualification.

You would also be expected to commit to (Continuing Professional Development), as well as evaluating the performance of our team, providing and workshops, inspiring them to achieve our school improvement goals and providing timely and constructive feedback.

The successful candidate would ensure accurate and up-to-date communication with , and referring schools. They would also co-ordinate annual reviews and follow up case management of amendments and ex*****on of plan updates.

Our new SENDCo would also serve as the Designated Senior Person for , and be the named teacher responsible for our pupils, contributing to statutory reviews, as well as liaising with external support services to enhance the overall effectiveness of our SEN/SEMH provision.
