Yard Labourer – GOLBORNE
Start date – Monday 24th February
Working hours:
Monday – Friday 08:00 – 16:30
Pay:
£11.67ph, paid weekly – one week in arrears.

Job Overview:
A yard labourer is responsible for ensuring that the yard or outdoor area is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Handling: Move, load, and unload
Cleaning & Organizing: Maintain a clean yard by removing debris, trash, and waste materials; ensure all tools, equipment, and supplies are properly stored.
Assist with Construction Tasks: Support construction teams by preparing materials for projects, measuring, and cutting materials, painting, stamping.
Tool Maintenance: Keep yard tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any malfunctions or needed repairs.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations, wearing the proper protective gear and ensuring a hazard-free work environment.
Qualifications:
Physical Stamina: Must be able to lift heavy loads, perform manual labour, and work for long periods in outdoor conditions.
Experience: Previous experience in a labour-intensive role (yard work, construction, etc.) is preferred but not always required.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and practices to ensure a secure work environment.
Basic Tool Knowledge: Ability to use basic hand tools and operate machinery (training may be provided).
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills
Basic math skills
Work Environment:
Both indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
Potentially physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
May involve working with hazardous materials or machinery, so safety protocols are a must.
Must have own safety boots and hi vis.
