It is with great sadness that we share the news that our colleague, Barry Gwynn, who worked as Depot Manager for our logistics operation in Deeside, sadly passed away last week.

Barry was a valued member of the Drivers Direct Recruitment team and will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him. He made a lasting impact through his hard work, commitment, and the relationships he built with colleagues, clients, and drivers alike.
This is an incredibly difficult time for all who knew Barry, and our thoughts, condolences, and love are with his family, friends, and everyone affected by this tragic loss.

We understand this news may be upsetting, and we encourage anyone who may be struggling, to speak with their manager or reach out for support.
Please take a moment to remember Barry and the contribution he made to our business and the people around him.

DENBIGH

We are seeking a professional 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and logistics, seeking a reliable and organised position within a reputable company. The ideal applicant will possess relevant driving experience and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Duties

Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and in accordance with schedules
Conduct safety checks on the vehicle prior to each shift, including tyre pressure, fluid levels, and overall vehicle condition
Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery
Out Monday to Thursday (42 hours a week) delivering and installing furniture around the UK. Leaving and returning to Denbigh
2-man team sleeping in cabs or a hotel depending on location
Follow all road safety regulations and company policies during transit
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any issues encountered during routes
Report any vehicle defects or incidents promptly to management
Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed or similar vehicles
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving
Must be capable of lifting heavy items as part of a 2-man lift
Excellent organisational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently
Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo safely
Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
Valid driving licence suitable for 7.5 tonne vehicles, with no recent endorsements or penalties
Experience in delivery driver roles is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and professionalism in logistics environments

£14.00 Per Hour (including holiday pay)
