Salary is between £45,000 to £55,000 pre annum (depending on experience and skillset)

Responsible for:
🔴Producing detailed quotations ensuring all products are within the company’s catalogue, to specification and following the BS EN guidelines.
🔴Quote Management pre order and for the Estimating component within the company’s 🔴Quality Management System, including development, compliance and auditing, in accordance with the ISO9001 standard and end to end process.
🔴Ensuring that technical documents and records are generated for all quotations in accordance with the company’s Quality Management System. Ensuring compliance and providing certification to BS EN 61439 (if applicable).

We are looking for JIB Electricians for a long term contract with our client in Birmingham.

This is to start on Monday 28th September.

Rate of pay is £26.50 per hour (all hours Monday to Friday), working 8 hours a day.

Must have an in date JIB Gold card, 18th Edition, 2391 or 2394/95 Test and Inspection certification (Essential) and Asbestos awareness certification (desirable)

This will be working on commercial and domestic properties.

The successful Electricians will be carrying out electrical inspection and testing, including:
🔴Visual inspections of electrical installations
🔴Checking for damaged or broken sockets, burn marks, wear and tear and outdated fuse boxes
🔴Carrying out dead and live electrical testing
Continuity testing
🔴Insulation resistance testing
🔴RCD trip-time testing

Salary is £36,513.74 per annum (inclusive of shift allowance)

This will be working at 2 shift rotation morning shift Monday to Thursday - 6am -2pm & 6am -11am on Friday, Afternoon shift Monday to Thursday 2pm -10pm & Friday 11am - 4pm.

This position does have the possibility to go on to a 3 shift rotation Days, Afternoons and Nights.

Previous experience working on fine gauge stainless steel and be able to weld 0.8mm to 1.2mm thickness

Duties will include:
🔴TIG welding stainless steel and other metals.
🔴Producing high-quality, neat and consistent welds.
🔴Reading and working from engineering drawings.
🔴Preparing materials and components for welding.
🔴Setting up and operating TIG welding equipment.
🔴Checking finished work to ensure it meets the required quality standards.
🔴Carrying out general fabrication duties where required.
🔴Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
🔴Working to production schedules and meeting required deadlines.
The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have:
🔴Previous experience working as a TIG Welder within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
🔴Previous experience working on fine gauge stainless steel and be able to weld 0.8mm to 1.2mm thickness
🔴Strong TIG welding experience, particularly on stainless steel.
🔴The ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

The role offers a varied workload, working on well-maintained vehicles including leading brands such as Scania, Volvo and DAF. You will be operating within a well maintained, up-to-date workshop, providing the chance to work on a variety of tasks and develop your skills.

🔴Maintain and repair trucks and trailers to high safety and operational standards.
🔴Conduct thorough HGV and trailer safety inspections and MOT preparation to ensure full VOSA compliance

Requirements:
🔴Qualified to City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in HGV repair and servicing
