You do not need to be everywhere online to stay visible.

If your customers spend time on one or two platforms, start there. You do not have to join every new app out of obligation.

Set aside one short session each week or month to plan a batch of posts. A few useful updates can keep your social channels active without taking over your diary.

Share what you know, what you are working on, answers to common questions, and genuine updates from your day-to-day business. Real and helpful often connects better than polished perfection.

Marketing should fit into your busy week, not take it over. Small, steady steps build familiarity and trust over time.

Which platform feels hardest to keep up with, and where do you find your customers online?

The best digital moments are the ones that make everything feel effortless. ✨

A virtual event runs smoothly.
The right specialist joins the team.
A refreshed online presence starts attracting the right enquiries.

These milestones matter because they represent real progress for real people and businesses.

At Zest City, we’re proud to support the ideas, teams and technology behind those wins. But the biggest celebrations belong to our clients and community.

What’s one win you’re proud of this month? Share it below so we can celebrate with you. 🎉

Can an AI assistant describe your service area accurately : or is it guessing?

In 2026, local digital authority is not only about appearing online. It is about being described correctly when a potential customer asks:

“Who serves businesses in my area?”

Run a simple accuracy check:

Ask 10 relevant AI location questions about your business.

Score each answer:
✅ Correct service area
⚠️ Partially correct
❌ Incorrect or missing

If fewer than 8 out of 10 answers accurately reflect the locations, regions or countries you serve, your local authority has a clear weakness.

AI needs precise, repeated service-area facts. That includes:

• Your main location
• Areas you actively serve
• Whether you work remotely, on-site or both
• Specific regions and countries covered
• Any genuine service limitations

Vague wording such as “serving clients worldwide” can be less useful than clearly naming the markets you support.

The goal is simple: when someone asks where you operate, the answer should match your real business : not an outdated assumption.

How accurately would AI describe your service area today?

AI does not trust polished claims on their own.

It looks for proof that real people have discussed, challenged and backed your expertise.

That is why community participation matters in the GEO era.

Answer genuine buyer questions in industry forums and peer groups. Share practical insight, not sales copy. When relevant, link to a verifiable case study that shows what changed and the outcome.

Those conversations become more than visibility. They are human-verified evidence : useful to customers and easier for AI systems to reference when assessing who knows their subject.

For SMEs, this is a serious advantage. You do not need the loudest brand. You need a consistent, credible voice in the places where your audience is already asking questions.

Community proof is earned one useful answer at a time.

A short rehearsal can protect the live experience. 🎙️

You do not need to recreate the entire event. You need a focused run-through that removes uncertainty before your audience arrives.

Before going live, check five things:

✅ Everyone knows their role and when they step in.
✅ The running order and handovers are clear.
✅ Presenters have practised using the actual event format.
✅ The team agrees who makes the call if plans change.
✅ Final questions are captured and answered.

A calm rehearsal can turn “What if?” into “We’ve got this.”

When was the last time you checked whether your website is working hard for your business?

You do not need a technical degree to carry out this simple health check. Set aside 15 minutes and review these five areas:

1. Mobile experience
Open your website on a phone. Is the text easy to read, are buttons simple to tap, and does the page load without awkward scrolling?

2. Broken links
Click through your main pages and links. A broken link can quickly damage trust and send visitors elsewhere.

3. Contact form
Send yourself a test message. Check that the form works and that enquiries arrive in the right inbox.

4. Outdated information
Review your opening hours, services, prices, team details and contact information. Update anything that is no longer accurate.

5. Clear homepage message
Within a few seconds, can a new visitor understand what you do, who you help and what they should do next?

Small improvements can make a big difference to user experience, enquiries and trust. Your website should be an active business tool : not just a digital brochure.

Which of these checks does your website need most today? Share your experience with the community.

Does your business look and sound like the same business everywhere people find you?

Strong branding isn’t about expensive design. It’s about consistency.

When your website, social profiles, email signature and directory listings use the same logo, colours, fonts and tone of voice, people are more likely to recognise your business : and trust it.

Try these three simple checks this week:

1. Compare five visible touchpoints. Do they feel like they belong to the same business?

2. Check your logo, colours and fonts. Are they being used correctly, or are any stretched, outdated or inconsistent?

3. Read your recent posts and replies. Does your tone sound consistent, friendly and professional across every channel?

Small improvements can make a big difference to how confidently people remember and choose your business.

Where have you noticed inconsistent branding, or where would you like your own brand to feel more joined-up?

Is AI recommending your business better this month: or merely producing different noise?

Build a monthly recommendation-quality scorecard.

Choose 5–10 questions a real customer would ask an AI assistant before choosing a supplier. Ask the same questions every month and log the exact responses.

Score each answer:

✅ 1 point if it names your business
✅ 1 point if it explains accurately what you do
✅ 1 point if it gives the customer a clear next step

That gives every answer a score out of 3. Track the total and percentage month by month.

This is where human-verified authority matters. AI output can be synthetic noise until a real person checks whether the recommendation is accurate, useful and actionable.

The aim is not a one-off exercise where you ask a few AI assistants and move on. It is a recurring measurement habit that shows whether your GEO improvements are actually working.

If the score is not climbing, your content, structure or authority signals may not be landing.

Create a simple spreadsheet. Assign an owner. Review the trend every month.

What would your customers ask an AI assistant before choosing you: and is your recommendation score improving?

Small businesses should not have to be digital experts to be seen online. 💻

Across our communities, local businesses, charities, youth sports clubs and community groups are doing important work every day. They create opportunities, bring people together and support the places we call home.

But the digital skills gap can often hit small organisations the hardest. Limited time, resources and confidence online can make it harder to connect with the people they are here to help.

A clear, simple online presence can make a real difference. Not by replacing genuine relationships, but by helping more people discover, trust and support the work already happening in our communities.

At Zest City, we believe practical digital support should feel accessible, useful and human. We are proud to champion the organisations making a difference locally : and to help create stronger connections between them and the communities they serve.

Which local business, charity or community group would you love to see get more support online? Tag them below. 👇

Are your sponsors seeing real value : or just a spreadsheet of numbers?

Strong sponsor reporting turns event activity into evidence they can trust.

Show the full picture:
📊 Attendance and registration trends
⏱️ Watch time and session retention
💬 Engagement across chats, polls and Q&As
🎯 Qualified leads and meaningful follow-up actions

The goal is not to overwhelm sponsors with data. It is to connect the right metrics to their objectives, explain what they mean and highlight where value was created.

A clear post-event report gives sponsors confidence in their investment. It also gives you a stronger foundation for renewals, better conversations and long-term partnerships.

Virtual and hybrid events generate valuable evidence. The opportunity is turning that evidence into a story your sponsors can act on.

What is the one metric your sponsors most want to see after your next event?
