We’re looking for a hands-on Electrical Engineer; someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys fault finding, solving problems and keeping machinery running at its best.

We’re looking for:

✔ Experience with electrical fault finding and repairs
✔ Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
✔ A full UK driving licence (for call-outs)
✔ PLC fault-finding experience would be highly beneficial
✔ Some mechanical experience would be a huge plus

We did it! 🎉

Back in May, Team Bowmay signed up to the Dementia UK Walk 31 Miles in May challenge with a fundraising target of £300.

We’re absolutely over the moon to say we didn’t just reach it - we smashed it!!

💗 £522 raised
🚶‍♀️ Over 200 miles walked collectively
🎯 174% of our target achieved

What started as a challenge to complete 31 miles each quickly turned into early morning walks, lunchtime laps, evening hikes, weekend adventures and plenty of sore feet (and cramp 😫) along the way.

We’ve walked round reservoirs and woodland trails, taking in the beautiful countryside along the way. We’ve enjoyed every step knowing it was helping to support the incredible work Dementia UK does for families affected by dementia.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, shared our page, cheered us on and supported us throughout the month. Your generosity helped us raise more than we ever expected.

For a small team, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together ♥️

🌧️☀️💨 The good old British weather this week 🙈😆

Come rain or shine Jess, Lucy and Louise have still been getting those steps in 💪🏼 on our ‘Walk 31 miles in May for Dementia UK’ fundraiser - the weather has definitely kept us on our toes 🙈😂

Jess has also smashed her PB on the sled in the gym this morning - pushing a total of 217.5kg 😳 that’s the weight of an adult male mountain gorilla or a large female crocodile 👏🏼

Our donations currently sit at £100, our target is £300! With only 2 weeks to go!

During this time we’ll be sharing updates, pictures and videos from our walks, no matter the weather 💪🏼 if you can spare (even £1) it really would mean the world to us here at 🫶🏼

🥳🥳

A little update from our 31 Miles in May challenge for Dementia UK 💙

We’re just over a week in, and between us we’ve already clocked up around 25 miles, that’s just on our dedicated walks and we’ve hit £100 of our £300 fundraising goal which is amaaaazing 🙌🏼

Thank you so much to everyone who’s donated, shared the page, or just sent a kind message our way. Every bit of support really does mean the world to us here at Bowmay Consulting 🥹

It keeps us going on the days when the weather’s a bit grim or our legs are a bit tired!

We’ve put together a little montage from some of our walks around Rochdale this week… how lucky we are to live somewhere full of greenery, views and little pockets of calm.

Sometimes you forget until you’re out there, taking it all in 🌿

Dementia UK relies heavily on fundraising to keep supporting people living with dementia and the families walking that journey alongside them.

We’d love to keep the momentum going through May 💪🏼
