There are a few questions that come up time and time again when people speak to our team, whether they're looking for work right now or simply exploring their options. Over the next few weeks, we'll be answering some of the most common ones.

To start with, let's tackle one of the biggest:
“What actually happens when you register with a temp agency?”

With our teams it always starts with a conversation. We’ll talk through what you’ve done before, what kind of work you’re looking for, and what would realistically suit you. Some people want something long-term, others need flexibility, and some just want to get back into work quickly.
From there, we’ll guide you through getting registered. In most cases, that means coming into your local branch so we can meet you and go through a simple registration. You’ll just need a few basic things like ID, your National Insurance number, bank details, and a couple of references.
Nothing complicated, just enough to get you set up and ready to go.

Once you’re registered, your local team will keep you in mind as roles come in, so you’re not starting from scratch every time you apply.

Staying motivated while looking for work is not always easy 💙
Some days feel productive and positive, yet other days can feel frustrating, especially when applications, interviews or waiting for updates start to take their toll.

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, we wanted to remind people that motivation is not about feeling positive every minute of the day. Sometimes it is simply about continuing to move forward, even in small steps.

With this in mind we wanted to share a few things that can help when motivation feels low:
✔ Set yourself small daily goals
✔ Celebrate progress, even the little wins
✔ Take breaks when you need them
✔ Avoid comparing your journey to others
✔ Keep reminding yourself why you started
