Gate Person / Airlock Operator Course

We would like to advise you of an important update from the National Highway Sector Scheme (NHSS) Committee.

The 12AB Sector Scheme Document (SSD) has been revised to include this new requirement:

Effective from 1st January 2025, the Gate Person / Airlock Operator course will be mandatory for all individuals required to operate the gate.

Key Points:
• The role of the Gate Person is a separate role from the 12AB General Operative
• Industry must ensure that they are implementing the requirements of the Sector Scheme
