As a chef you will have at least 1 years’ experience in cooking, managing stocks, working as part of a team and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Having your own transport is a plus and so is DBS check, but they are not essential.

We are looking for motivated and hardworkings Kitchen Porters who hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate for our clients in and around Reading.

As a Kitchen Porter you will:

Ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible.
Collect and wash up pots and pans.
Clean food preparation areas and equipment, in addition to crockery and cutlery.
Unload food and equipment deliveries.
Keep the storeroom organised.
Keep work surfaces, walls and floors clean and sanitised.

What we will need from you:

The ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team
Good communications skills
A strong work ethic
At least one year of experience as a Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant
A car and driving license is an advantage
An enhanced DBS certificate issued in the past 3 years,

- Sourcing of suitable candidates through job adverts and CV searches
- Researching of new clients
- Phone check-in of temporary workers
- Registration of new workers
- Day-to-day communication with colleagues, temporary workers and clients

The perfect candidate will:

- Have great communication skills (verbal and written) and phone mannerism

We are looking for Porters to work during Royal Ascot week. You will be put into a team on the first shift which is set up and induction, then you will remain together for the course of the week.
As a Porter your jobs will vary during the week and will include putting away deliveries, carrying loads, and restocking. The shifts will be around 12 hours long, and the pay per hour is £8.75.
