Care Worker | Derbyshire

Social Link Recruitment requires an experienced Care Worker, to work with Older Adults with dementia, based in Heanor, Derbyshire.

This role is on a shift basis over 25 hours per week, which would include 4 shifts between Tuesday-Friday (6.45am till 2.30pm or 2.15pm till 10.15pm)

If you are interested in this role, you will be required to carry out the following:

Supporting clients in line with their agreed plans and assessments with personal care, domestic tasks, medication and health related activities
Covering a service and managing the day to day care of older people who were living with dementia.
To co-ordinate a team response and provide personal care and support to people with a range of complex and challenging needs to enable them to have choice and control of their lives.
Role modelling best practice in person-centred care and support.
Organising services to meet client needs via direct provision and/or advice and support
Undertaking regular reviews and individual risk assessments of client’s personal service plans.
Working alongside other professionals and liaising with other agencies such as health, community and emergency services to actively support clients and promote the service

To apply for this role you must have:

Previous experience of working in a residential care or supported living.
This role may include lone working at times and therefore the ability to remain calm in an emergency is essential.
NVQ level 3 Administering medication, first aid, fire Safety, health and safety, moving and handling, nutrition and hydration, safeguarding as a minimum.
An enhanced DBS clearance.
UK driving licence, with access to a car.
Eligibility to work within the UK.

The salary range for this role is between £10-13 per hour.
