Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a supportive school environment?

We are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a school in Ulverston, working 0.7 of a week (all mornings plus two afternoons).

💷 Pay Rate: £14.63 - £16.35 per hour (depending on experience)

🌟 Main Purpose of the Role

You will support teaching and learning activities across the school, focusing on phonics, early writing, and maths in KS2. Working under the direction of a qualified teacher, you will provide support to individual pupils, small groups, and whole classes to help children achieve their full potential.

✅ Essential Requirements
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
Experience working with children in a classroom environment
Experience supporting and leading small groups or individual pupils
Hard-working with high standards and a positive attitude
Well-organised and knowledgeable
Ability to work independently and use initiative when required
Calm, understanding, and consistent in behaviour management
Flexible team player who values collaboration and sharing ideas
Understanding of and commitment to promoting Christian values within a Church School setting
⭐ Desirable Skills & Experience
Recent phonics training (Read Write Inc. or equivalent)
Paediatric First Aid qualification
Experience supporting early writing or maths within KS2
