D&E employment and training D&E is a family run business owned and managed by ex forces personnel. We supply warehouse staff and operatives. Training for Ex Forces personnel is available.

D&E Employment and Training Ltd supply class 1, class 2, 3.5T, 7.5T and ADR qualified drivers throughout the North West. Our accredited trainers provide all FLT Training:
LLOP (Ride on), Reach, Scissor Lift, Counterbalance, Pivot Steer / Bendi, Pallet Stacker and High-Level Order Pickers. Mobile plant training and assessments by DVSA qualified driving instructor along with CPC courses.

🚛 CLASS 1 TRAMPER DRIVER – BUCKSHAW

We’re looking for an experienced Class 1 (HGV C+E) Tramper Driver to join our team, working out of Buckshaw.

📍 Location: Buckshaw PR7
📅 Monday to Friday
💷 £16 per hour
⏰ Minimum 10 hours paid per day
🛏️ £25 night-out allowance

What we’re looking for:

• Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph
• Previous Class 1/tramping experience preferred
• Reliable and professional attitude
• Good communication skills

The clocks haven’t gone back yet, and the mornings are already getting darker and colder. Now’s the time to get your truck ready for winter.

Safety first. A hi-vis, ice scraper, de-icer, decent gloves and some waterproofs can make all the difference when you’re stood outside a trailer early hours doing your checks

A few things worth sorting early:

💡Check your lights and replace or report any that are dim.
🧤Keep a scraper, de-icer and decent gloves in the bag of cab.
💦 Check the levers on your screenwash and top up with proper winter stuff so it doesn’t freeze.
🦺 Pack warm layers, hi-vis for those early-morning/late finish jobs.
🛞 ALWAYS heck your tyres and tread. Winter roads punish anything that’s already borderline.

None of it takes long. And are all very important especially in the darker days. It can save you a miserable start when the weather turns.

Sort it now while it’s still mild. Look after yourself and keep yourself safe on the road. 🚛
