SLF Recruitment are actively recruiting for Senior Care Assistants to join an outstanding organisation and currently have vacancies within in their homes in Ormskirk, Skelmersdale, Mawdesley, St Helen’s and Nelson.

SLF Recruitment are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience –
· Medication management experience.
· Experience working with older people.
· NVQ Level 2 in Social Care of equivalent preferred.
· NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent preferred or the achievement of this in the first 12 months of their employment.
· Evidence of the ability to contribute to the assessment, planning and evaluation of the care needs of older people.
· Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the 6 principles of care and how they should underpin delivery of care in a residential/nursing setting.
· Good oral and written communication skills.
· Demonstrate self-motivation and confidence.

Both Days and Night shifts and various hours are available along with a very competitive rate of pay depending on experience plus on-going training and much more.

Ideally at least one years’ experience within the care sector as a Care Assistant is preferred but not essential as full training is provided. We are looking for candidates who have good numeracy and literacy skills, a warm and friendly disposition, good communication skills, able to put others at ease, be a strong team worker and be reliable and punctual.
The ideal candidate will provide the highest level of personal care (i.e toileting, washing, bathing) and attention to residents, following individual care plans carefully and ensuring that all contact is polite, friendly, warm and supportive.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a proven track record in –

· Minimum 5 years of management experience of an adults service provision in the care industry.

The salary for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience along with excellent benefits.

The ideal candidate must have -

Minimum experience of 18 months working in residential care supporting children
and young people.

Have obtained QCF Level 3 in Childrens and Young People's Workforce or
equivalent qualification.

Have recent children's homes regulation 2015 knowledge.

As a Team Leader you will be under taking the following tasks –

Supporting the management to run a successful staff team and all day to day operations of the home.

To assist the management team with the supervisions of junior staff.

Inducting new staff into the homes procedure and culture.

Ensuring the highest standards of care in relation to the young people’s physical, behavioural and emotional needs.

Be the young person’s champion and as part of the wider team strive to ensure that they achieve their aspirations and full potential.Assist senior staff with the writing and maintaining of placement and risk management plans.

Support young people in daily activities including family contact, attending local clubs, 1:1 activities in the community, promoting independence and social behaviour.

You will be assigned a key child and play a pivotal role in their day to day life including attending reviews and liaising with external agencies.

Flexibility to work shift patterns is essential along with a full driving license.

Very competitive rate of pay is offered with this role along with excellent benefits and additional payment of £53.00 per sleep in.
