Most transport operators don’t actually know what agency drivers are costing them over a year.

Here’s a more realistic example:

Driver pay: £17 per hour
Agency charge: typically £21–£23 per hour

That difference adds up fast.

One driver working 45 hours a week =
£9,000–£14,000 a year in agency cost alone.

Now multiply that across a few drivers…

3 agency drivers = £30k+ a year

And the real issue?

When the driver leaves — you start again.

Same cost. Same problem.
