Today is EODay 2026, and this year's theme "Owning It" really does make you stop and think.

When we became an Employee Ownership Trust back in 2021, it wasn't a box-ticking exercise. It was a deliberate choice by our founders to make sure the future of Rubicon belonged to the people who'd built it and to every person who joins us going forward.

Employee ownership isn't a switch you flip. It's a culture you build, challenge, and grow into. Today is a good reminder of what we signed up for and what we're still working towards.

To everyone we've met along the way, those who've shared their stories, offered advice, asked the right questions, and walked part of this journey with us, thank you. That community is one of the unexpected gifts of becoming EO.

Yesterday, we hosted our annual Mock Tribunal HR Forum with Ellis Jones Solicitors, held at the RNLI.

This year's session focused on a workplace harassment case, giving HR professionals the rare opportunity to see firsthand how decisions get made, how behaviour is scrutinised, and how documentation holds up (or doesn't) under cross-examination in a real tribunal setting.

It's a session that always lands differently once you've seen it in action. Thank you to Ellis Jones for their expertise, and to the RNLI for the brilliant venue.
