Everyone talked about a labour shortage when we first arrived in the UK. However, after delving deeper into the processes, I realized that the issue could be more complex. Despite the demand in various sectors, British businesses are reluctant to invite skilled workers from abroad, and it is hard to find qualified personnel within the country.

The UK has a monopoly on labour in the agricultural sector, which only four companies control. This creates difficulties for starting businesses such as mine.

Many companies are looking for experience and reputation, reminiscent of a joke from Ukraine about seeking a 20-year-old worker with ten years of experience. To gain this experience, you need to take the first steps.

I want to conclude by saying that having been a migrant twice due to conflicts initiated by Russia against Georgia and Ukraine (from where I was compelled to migrate first in the 1990s and then in 2022 from Ukraine), I am well-equipped to tackle all of these challenges. Thank you.

One of the essential tasks our recruitment and worker preparation team sets for itself is ensuring an informed introduction to the entire process.

Our clients are employers from large agricultural companies involved in vegetable and fruit cultivation. Their main task is to provide and prepare workers for accomplishing the set goals.

Recently, I came across a disturbing trend within the job recruitment industry that I feel compelled to address. It has come to my attention that certain agencies in post-Soviet countries charge exorbitant fees, upwards of $2,000, for promising job opportunities in the UK. Sadly, some agencies within the UK are complicit in this unethical practice, disregarding both the law and the GLAA charter.

I find these actions reprehensible as someone deeply committed to transparency and ethical practices. It's disheartening to witness hardworking individuals being taken advantage of while pursuing better opportunities. This issue hits close to home for me, as I have a significant following among CIS citizens who often reach out to me for guidance.

However, I believe in the power of knowledge and awareness. By shedding light on these deceptive practices, we can empower job seekers to make informed decisions and protect themselves from scams. I aim to act as a bridge between employers and workers, connecting them based on mutual trust and fair treatment.
